Two preachers' sons.
One mission.
We didn't come to the church as outsiders looking for a market. We came as sons who watched our fathers pour their lives into their congregations — and who saw, over and over again, how little those congregations were protected when something went wrong.
Taylor Thompson and Caden Ueckert both grew up in the pew. Their fathers were pastors — men who gave everything to their communities, who counseled families through grief, who opened their buildings to the neighborhood, who led mission trips across the world. And like most church leaders, they trusted that their insurance was handled. Often it wasn't — not really. Coverage was generic, limits were outdated, and the exposures that made a church unique were rarely addressed at all.
"We watched churches we loved face moments of crisis without the protection they deserved. That's not a business problem — it's a calling."
After years in specialty commercial insurance — navigating complex programs, E&S markets, and niche coverage structures — Taylor and Caden came back to the place that shaped them. They founded Steeple Source with one purpose: to make sure no church leader ever has to discover a coverage gap at the worst possible moment.
Steeple is not a general agency that happens to write a few churches. It is a specialty consulting practice built entirely around the unique risks, exposures, and values of faith-based organizations. Every client we take on, we treat the way we would want our own fathers' churches to be treated — with expertise, with care, and with the deep respect that comes from knowing what the local church means to a community.
The mission of the church is too important to leave unprotected. That's why we exist.
